Henchwoods Guide

After years of confusion concerning which creatures and plants are lethal and which are harmless to the human inhabitants of Udenland, Prof. Flannigan Henchwood of the Udenland Institute, began, with the help of his surviving research assistants, to catalogue and study the flora and fauna of the kingdom. Over the years he has compiled the data into three important volumes known as the Henchwood Guides.  These guides have become a must to every citizen in Udenland who hopes to survive a family picnic, a vacation to the shore, or simply a trip to the corner market. Recently Prof. Henchwood has begun to send the bravest of his assistants beyond Udenland to document the creatures and plant life outside the kingdoms borders, making the Henchwoods Guides an absolute must-have for those insane enough to venture outside Udenland.

Every so often we will post an entry from one of the guides: Dragons, Magical Creatures or Magical Plants, in order to expand your knowledge of the myriad of life forms that surround us.  Occasionally, as they become available, we will post a recorded dispatch from the field of Prof. Henchwood or one of his stalwart assistants.

Plissmen’s Bloom

Recently Fiona Plissmen, a graduate student in the Temporal Geography Department, made a startling discovery that may change the entire science of Botanical Alchemy. She found herself caught in a brutal thunderstorm and having lost her bearings in the deluge she stumbled into a heavily forested glen. Though botany is not her discipline, she immediately realized had found in that remote glen was something truly astounding.
