Do not be fooled by his erudite air of sophistication, he is, in fact, a self professed scoundrel who uses his oily charm to achieve his nefarious goals. He is a thief for hire, not above turning on his clients when it benefits his own pockets. This of course has left him with many enemies, yet there is that blasted charm of his, which continually wins new admirers, who, so entranced by his vivid tales of larceny in exotic locals, don’t even notice their purses are gone until long after Mr. Bladderstone has made his hasty exit
